WhitbeckBeglis, PLLC is a growing family law firm with offices across multiple states. Our attorneys focus on complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, education law, and mental health law.

We are seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Leesburg, Virginia office. This position provides administrative and case support to attorneys and plays an important role in ensuring the office and day-to-day client service operations run smoothly.


Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and the office
  • Assist with the initial client intake process, including gathering and organizing information for attorneys
  • Prepare and send routine and template-based client communications
  • Manage attorney calendars, including hearings, deadlines, meetings, and appointments
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
  • Assist with preparation, formatting, and organization of legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other case materials
  • Maintain pleadings, discovery, and other case-related indexes and records
  • Assist attorneys with document preparation and other case-related administrative tasks
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and other parties as needed
  • Monitor deadlines and follow up on outstanding tasks or information
  • Maintain office supplies and assist with general office operations
  • Provide support with special projects and other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of administrative, legal administrative, or related professional experience
  • Previous experience in a law firm or legal environment is preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time-management and task-prioritization skills
  • Professional, dependable, and responsive
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
