Media & Editorial Content Lead
Hybrid Remote Houston, TX Communications
Job Type
Full-time
Description

Fervo is working to build the most cost-effective, repeatable geothermal power plants in the world. Delivering on this mission requires compelling, high-quality communication across every channel. Joining Fervo's Communications team means shaping the public narrative of a fast-growing clean energy company, raising the visibility of our work as we reinvent how geothermal energy is delivered at scale. Join us and work alongside world-class engineers, researchers, investors, and developers in making geothermal a key pillar of our climate-friendly energy future.

We are seeking a Media and Editorial Content Lead to own Fervo's relationship with the press, and manage an integrated content strategy for its digital channels. This role is the front line for every inbound media inquiry and the driver behind proactive outreach that puts Fervo's story in front of the right audiences.

The Media and Editorial Content Lead manages all media relations for Fervo, end to end — fielding inbound press inquiries, proactively pitching outbound stories, building and maintaining reporter relationships, and drafting the press releases and statements that carry Fervo's name. This role also owns Fervo's social media presence, setting the day-to-day voice and content strategy across the company's channels, including its website.

This role requires someone comfortable operating fast and independently, equally capable of handling a reporter's same-day request and planning a proactive media and social calendar weeks out. As a newly public company, Fervo's media presence matters, and this role is expected to exercise sound judgment on what gets said, when and where, and to what audiences. Exemplary writing and storytelling is a must for this role.
