Quality Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead the day-to-day activities of our Quality department while remaining hands-on with dimensional inspection and production support.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Plan, prioritize, perform, and coordinate daily inspection activities based on production needs
  • Supervise Quality personnel and provide direction, training, and technical support
  • Perform and oversee first-piece, in-process, and plate inspection activities
  • Review inspection results and troubleshoot dimensional or measurement concerns
  • Ensure quality personnel are properly reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and process documentation
  • Support the use of profilometers, bore gauges, optical comparators, standard hand measuring equipment, Keyence IM Series,      Mitutoyo Form Tracer, and other inspection equipment
  • Oversee the proper use, care, and consistency of inspection and measuring equipment
  • Lead and coordinate gauge calibration requirements
  • Maintain quality records, certificates of conformance, calibration records, and other required documentation
  • Monitor inspection activities for accuracy, consistency, and timely completion
  • Track scrap, rework, nonconformances, and other quality-related metrics
  • Respond to production, supplier, and incoming quality concerns and escalate issues when needed
  • Lead corrective and preventive action follow-up and work with suppliers on returns and corrective actions
  • Prepare for and participate in customer, internal, and third-party audits
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and the Plant Manager to resolve quality concerns and support production needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality processes, inspection flow, documentation, and overall department effectiveness
  • Perform other quality-related duties as needed to support the department

Qualifications

  • Strong plate layout experience is required
  • Strong dimensional inspection experience is required
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing quality and inspection practices
  • Working knowledge of precision measuring equipment and dimensional inspection methods
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings, specifications, and process documentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot measurement and inspection concerns
  • Experience with nonconforming products, corrective actions, calibration, and quality documentation
  • Previous Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or department coordination experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems
  • Ability to adjust priorities throughout the day based on production needs
