PURPOSE:

This opportunity is located at Robley Insurance, a Shepherd Insurance Partner. As a Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist within the Shepherd family, you will assist insurance advisors and the account management team in the handling and processing of new and renewal commercial lines quotes accordance with Agency procedures and guidelines. With a positive attitude, you will also provide customer service to clients as assigned and requested.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide positive, prompt, and accurate service to clients. 
• Assist insurance advisors and account managers with new business quoting and applications. 
• Assist insurance advisors and account managers with renewal quoting and remarkets/rewrites. 
• Serve as a resource to account management team on risk assessment and appetite. 
• Assist advisors with cross-selling and account rounding. 
• Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding new business and remarketing efforts: comply with the request and/or refer to the advisor when necessary.
• Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up on overdue and suspense items.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Experience: At least three (3) years’ experience in similar position is desirable.
• Required state licensing certification. 
• Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. College degree is preferred, not necessary.
• Strong understanding of commercial lines insurance coverages, forms, procedures, and policy rating systems.
• Familiar in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), agency & document managing system.
