MARKETING MANAGER

Reports To: Director of Marketing

Department: Marketing & Events

Status: Full-Time/Year-Round, Exempt/Salaried

Pay Range: $64,000 - $72,000


POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing the day-to-day marketing strategies, including managing campaigns, coordinating seasonal promotions, overseeing and social media campaigns, working with vendors, and supporting events. The manager ensures marketing activities are carried out effectively and aligns closely with the director to report on results, implement tactics, and manage timelines. This position will report directly to our Marketing Director and will work very closely with contractors, including content producers, graphic designers, web developers, and media agencies. Finally, an ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of process, structure, and organization. This position is onsite and based in Granby, Colorado.

Requirements

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage day-to-day execution across digital channels, including email marketing, media buying, social media and website/e-store updates.
  • Manage the Granby Ranch website content via Wordpress and communicate with web developer regarding any needs.
  • Direct the Content Coordinator to oversee the brand’s social media presence, specifically on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, through up-to-date best practice expertise.
  • Oversee media buying for digital platforms, such as Google ads and Meta ads, within the Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads Manager platforms.
  • Manage ad spend within digital ad channels.
  • Collaborate with event manager to market/promote upcoming events. 
  • Guide contractors in producing professional, on brand assets for Granby Ranch, including graphic designers, media buyers, videographer/photographers, web developers and printers.
  • Track performance of individual campaigns and reports metrics to the Director for analysis.
  • Own and direct the Content Coordinator to execute photo and video shoots for the resort.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a positive, professional role model, adhering to the company’s hospitality standards.
  • Maintain an exceptional level of guest service in all interaction with guests, fellow employees, and management.
  • Assist and support other departments for concerts, events and operations on high volume days.
  • Engage with the local community and attend offsite events
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • An understanding of the Wordpress platform is required.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills and knowledge of online content.
  • Graphic design skills are preferred.
  • Has basic understanding of HTML.
  • A keen eye for on-brand imagery, graphics, copy, and more and the ability to adjust as necessary. 
  • An understanding of the current state of social media and the ability to communicate those best practices to fellow teammates. 
  • Some experience and knowledge of basic photography, video and editing techniques. 
  • Strong project-management skills through ownership of digital tools like Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Asana and more. 
  • An extremely high level of initiative and ownership – when you see something, you take action.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of marketing experience is required, preferably in travel or hospitality. 
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism or related field is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be willing to work some holidays and weekends.
  • Primarily an office setting; however, includes some outdoor work (including setup and tear down) in an alpine mountain environment with varying and extreme weather conditions. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Dexterity for utilizing keyboard, sitting, standing, carrying.
  • Verbal and auditory abilities necessary for communication with others.
  • An intermediate or above level of skiing or snowboarding is preferred.
