Equipment General Foreman - Plow

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment General Foreman to oversee the maintenance, operation, and management of plow equipment on our construction or infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of plow equipment and related machinery on-site.

- Ensure proper maintenance, inspection, and repair of equipment to maximize uptime and safety.

- Manage equipment scheduling and allocation to meet project deadlines and operational needs.

- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.

- Collaborate with project managers, operators, and other team members to optimize equipment performance.

- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.

- Train and mentor equipment operators and crew members to uphold safety and operational standards.

- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies needed for equipment maintenance.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a foreman or supervisor in heavy equipment management, specifically with plow equipment.

- Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety guidelines.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in heavy equipment operation.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

- Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications for heavy equipment operation are preferred.

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in heavy equipment management is a plus.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in plow in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating a team.
• OSHA 30 or more and a comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to solar installations, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to identify and resolve installation issues effectively, making sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to plan and prioritize installation projects efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the quality and accuracy of installations.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).
• Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain.
• Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding.
• Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and tunnels.
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
