Join our winning team, honored on Forbes’ list of America’s Best Startup Employers for 2025!

The Helper Bees (THB) was created to fill an obvious need in an underserved community. Inspired by love and brought to reality through passion and determination, The Helper Bees was founded to empower older adult citizens and their families in their search for quality, affordable in-home care providers. We do this by providing older adults the ability to easily review, choose, and access affordable quality in-home helpers.

The Helper Bees mission is to be the best in the world at finding & fulfilling the needs of older adults.

At THB, we define our company culture through our Core Values:

  • Quickly iterate through solutions - We move at a fast pace which requires quick iterations to find a path to a repeatable solution
  • Seek ways to create immediate impact - Be thoughtful and proactive in how you make an impact on your team. Actively look for ways to make a fast, positive impact.
  • Bee the teammate you want to work with - We work as a team, help each other and encourage each other
  • Ask questions, answer questions - You can't iterate through solutions if you don't ask the right questions which is why there is an expectation that questions should be asked. When you know the answer, being a good teammate means chiming in to get others up to speed.
  • Take the time to celebrate wins - It's so easy for a team that is heads down to forget about all the great things they've accomplished. That's why we make it a priority to remind ourselves to create space to celebrate wins, big or small.

Job Summary:

The Field Marketing Manager executes the events and in-person programs that build relationships and moves business forward with our customers, partners, prospects, and the broader industry.

This role is equal parts strategist, operator, and host. You will run the full lifecycle of our conference presence, customer and prospect dinners, and hosted experiences, from planning and logistics through on-site delivery and follow-up. You will also be in the room. You set the tone at the dinner table, work the booth, make the introductions, and make sure the people we invited are glad they came.

The right person is an experienced field marketer who is as comfortable building a run-of-show and chasing down a shipping quote as they are sitting between two carrier executives and keeping the conversation going.

Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute the field marketing strategy in partnership with Sales and Marketing, including recommendations on where THB should attend, sponsor, speak, host, or skip based on audience, account opportunity, cost, and expected business impact.
  • Treat each major field program as an integrated campaign, with clear objectives, target accounts, audience strategy, pre-event outreach, on-site engagement, and post-event follow-up.
  • Partner with Sales and BDRs to identify priority accounts and contacts before each event, define meeting and relationship goals, and create a coordinated engagement plan.
  • Own the post-event follow-up process across Marketing and Sales, including lead/account handoff, CRM capture, follow-up expectations, nurture opportunities, and tracking through pipeline progression.
  • Build and maintain event ROI reporting that connects spend and activity to target-account engagement, meetings, qualified opportunities, pipeline influence, deal progression, customer expansion, and other defined business outcomes.
  • Establish a consistent conference scorecard and use performance data to recommend where THB should increase, reduce, or change its field investment.
  • Identify opportunities beyond the booth — executive dinners, private meetings, speaking opportunities, customer advocacy, partner activations, and other high-value ways to engage priority audiences.
  • Work closely with Marketing on pre- and post-event campaigns, messaging, content, sales enablement, and account-based outreach so the field experience connects to the broader go-to-market strategy.
  • Create executive briefing materials for priority events, including attendees, target accounts, relationship history, meeting goals, talking points, and recommended follow-up.
  • Own event logistics end to end: venue sourcing, contracts, budgets, registration, guest lists, food and beverage, run-of-show, shipping, staffing, and on-site coordination.
  • Host. Set the tone at dinners and events, welcome people, make introductions, guide the conversation, and create an experience guests remember.
  • Work with Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and leadership to turn event goals into meeting strategy, guest lists, on-site plans, and follow-up.
  • Manage conference presence, including booth or meeting-space execution, sponsorship and speaking logistics, executive schedules, customer meetings, and post-event follow-up.
  • Build repeatable playbooks, vendor standards, and checklists so each event runs better than the last.
  • Track attendance, engagement, pipeline contribution, spend, and lessons learned, and bring recommendations back to the team.
  • Bee a culture cultivator, living out all of The Helper Bees Core Values, and fully understanding our Mission & Vision.
  • Support the Marketing team with other special projects and duties as assigned.

Performance Metrics:

  • Execution: Conferences, dinners, and field programs delivered on time, on budget, and at the quality bar we set.
  • Target account engagement: Priority accounts/contacts engaged, qualified meetings held, executive relationships developed, and target-account penetration.
  • Follow-through: Timely CRM capture and completion of agreed Sales/Marketing follow-up after each event.
  • Pipeline impact: Opportunities sourced or influenced, stage progression after field engagement, customer expansion/partner opportunities, and other agreed revenue indicators.
  • ROI: Event spend relative to qualified meetings, target-account engagement, pipeline influence, and longer-term business contribution.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Willingness to travel regularly (2x month minimum), with occasional evening and weekend work around events.
  • Strong understanding of lead/account management, pipeline stages, and Sales/Marketing handoffs.
  • Strong executive presence and the judgment to represent the company with senior customers, prospects, and partners.
  • Comfort working with account-based marketing or target-account strategies.
  • Ability to translate business priorities into an event strategy rather than simply executing an existing calendar.
  • Proven ability to run conferences, executive dinners, and high-touch customer events end to end.
  • Strong event operations and project management skills, with real attention to detail.
  • A confident, warm presence. You can host a room, guide a conversation, make introductions, and build genuine professional relationships with senior people.
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines, vendors, budgets, and stakeholders at once.
  • Strong writing. You can produce event briefs, run-of-show documents, and updates a CEO can skim.
  • Good judgment and a level head when something goes wrong mid-event, because it will.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Education and Experience:

  • 4+ years experience in field marketing, event marketing, or a closely related function in a B2B environment.
  • Experience independently owning conferences and hosted dinners, including budget and vendor management.
  • Experience using CRM and marketing automation platforms to track field engagement and measure campaign impact.
  • Familiarity with health plans, long-term care insurance, aging services, or a similar regulated industry is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel by air and ground and work in conference, hotel, restaurant, and event settings.
  • Ability to stay on your feet and move through event spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or coordinate the movement of event materials and equipment.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a phone and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The ability to observe details at close range, typically on a computer screen.
