Description

The HR Administrator provides administrative and employee support to the Human Resources department in alignment with the organization’s Christian mission and values. This role maintains accurate and confidential records, coordinates routine HR processes, and helps employees receive timely information and assistance. Working under the direction of the HR Manager, the HR Administrator supports consistent implementation of established policies and procedures and a caring, professional employee experience.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential personnel files, HR system records, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate onboarding paperwork, orientation scheduling, and required acknowledgments; work with appropriate departments to arrange approved system access.
  • Support offboarding by preparing documentation, updating records, and coordinating access removal and return of organizational property with the responsible departments.
  • Track employee information, approved job changes, and leave documentation, referring requests requiring review or approval to the HR Manager.
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for routine HR questions, providing information on established procedures and referring sensitive concerns or policy questions to the HR Manager.
  • Prepare and route approved personnel updates to payroll and other appropriate departments.
  • Assist with compliance documentation, records reviews, and audits under the HR Manager’s direction.
  • Prepare routine HR communications and coordinate meetings, training, and administrative follow-up.
  • Provide other related administrative support as assigned by the HR Manager.
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of administrative or HR-related experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities within a part-time schedule.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and a courteous, responsive approach to employee support.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, recognize matters requiring escalation, and complete assigned work reliably.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with HRIS preferred.
