Description


Main position objectives

The Human Resources Manager is responsible to serve as Cloeren Incorporated HR Business Partner, under the MAAG and Dover structure, working with business leaders to solve significant people and cultural issues, provide expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of employment, enable business change, talent integration, and recruiting strategy creation. for human resource management in all aspects of the field. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, human resource functional areas such as employee relations, recruitment and selection, training, performance management, FMLA, ADA, EEO, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, HRIS, workers compensation, record keeping & management, and policy implementation.  


Position description – Tasks, responsibilities, competencies

  • Understands and executes the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Executes full life cycle of HR processes including onboarding, administration of changes, employee improvement processes as well as off-boarding procedures following MAAG and Dover guidelines.
  • Supports current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Build relationships with local agencies, schools, or government agencies to source talent for open positions.
  • Manages employee engagement programs and works collectively to improve overall employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Along with the HR Team, develops and implements HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business needs for the job site supported.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements, job descriptions, job codes, and compensation details for all positions.
  • Assists in developing training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
  • Ensures that all company HR policies are applied consistently.
  • Bridges management and employee relations by addressing concerns timely and effectively.
  • Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions or issues arise.
  • Maintain HR systems and processes.
  • Conducts and analyzes exit interviews and makes actionable recommendations based on data.
  • Constructs monthly reports for finance and leadership.

The incumbent considers all interests of quality, accident prevention and occupational safety as well as environmental safety in a preventive manner within his/her scope of responsibility and supports the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material and environment actively.

Work Environment

  • Work in this position is both in an office and a factory floor environment. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required.

Requirements

Education

Mandatory

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Desirable

  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred 

Professional experience

Mandatory

  • 5 years human resources business partner experience

Desirable

  • 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Experience delivering training, employee orientation or similar experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with human resources information systems (HRIS); preferably with Workday and ADP
  • Experience with analyzing data for reporting and guiding strategic employment planning
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
