Location: Primarily based in Roseville and Maplewood, with travel to Eagan as needed and to Faribault approximately every 4 to 6 weeks.

Job Summary:

Tareen Dermatology is hiring for a full-time Pharmacy Technician. We are a growing physician-owned Dermatology practice located in the Twin Cities Metro. 


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Receive prescriptions from Tareen Dermatology providers. Capture appropriate patient information.
  • Process electronic and written prescriptions quickly and accurately. This includes new and refill prescriptions. 
  • Assist in preparation and dispensing of medications, including insurance adjudication, counting, labeling, and selling. Complete basic tasks without the review of others. 
  • Resolve insurance issues, including step therapy, prior authorizations, and drug utilization review per department policy.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the computer system.
  • Complete special orders or projects to meet customer needs.
  • Respond to internal and external customer and employee inquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner. 
  • Take inbound calls and make outbound calls as needed.
  • Handle cash register transactions accurately.
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned.
  • Assist in inventory control duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school or equivalent required
  • 1-2 year prior healthcare or pharmacy experience preferred. 


Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic setting.
