In this role, you'll work in our Lowell, MI location with a close-knit team of talented engineers, collaborating cross-functionally with internal and external business stakeholders.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and revise CAD files for wood, aluminum, sheet metal, and die-cast components using SolidWorks

• Participate in material selection and component analysis

• Build and test prototypes to validate design performance

• Create engineering drawings, tolerance analyses, and free body diagrams

• Partner cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to develop new products

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent

• 3-5 years of product development experience

• Experience in the engineering approval of parts for production (ISIR/PPAPs)

• Experience performing and understanding DFMEA/PFMEAs

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or an equivalent CAD platform such as Creo

• Strong understanding of tolerance analysis

• Design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA)

• Sees multiple paths to a solution and thinks creatively when solving technical challenges, applying mechanical engineering principles, material science, and manufacturing know-how

• Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly across teams and functions

• Resourceful in using a range of methods and techniques to work through technical problems
