Compensation: $23.00-$26.00 per hour plus free housing in a private room

Position Summary

Kona Sober Living is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and highly organized House

Manager to provide overall supervision and support within our sober living residence.

This is a live-in position and includes a private room with no rent as an additional

employment benefit, in addition to hourly compensation of $23.00 per hour.

The House Manager plays an important role in maintaining a safe, structured, supportive, and

recovery-focused living environment. The position combines resident supervision, case

management, administrative responsibilities, and day-to-day housing operations while

helping residents remain accountable to their recovery goals and Kona Sober Living program

expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall supervision of the Kona Sober Living residence and residents.
• Maintain a safe, structured, respectful, and recovery-oriented living environment.
• Supervise residents and monitor compliance with house rules, curfews, schedules, chores,
• meeting requirements, and program expectations.
• Provide ongoing case management, including resident check-ins, goal setting, progress
• monitoring, documentation, and coordination of services.
• Assist residents with developing healthy routines, independent living skills, employment
• goals, community involvement, and recovery-related objectives.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while encouraging accountability and support.
• Complete administrative duties, including resident documentation, progress notes,
• incident reports, scheduling, recordkeeping, and communication with management.
• Coordinate with treatment providers and other authorized professionals when appropriate.
• Assist with resident admissions, orientation, transitions, and discharges.
• Monitor participation in recovery meetings, sponsorship, treatment, employment,
• community service, and other individualized requirements.
• Assist with drug and alcohol testing procedures and documentation in accordance with
• Kona Sober Living policies.
• Identify and promptly communicate behavioral, safety, relapse, or other significant concerns to management.
• Help facilitate house meetings and address routine resident concerns and conflicts.
• Ensure the residence remains clean, organized, safe, and operating according to Kona
• Sober Living standards.
• Work collaboratively with ownership, management, and other staff to maintain consistent
• expectations, communication, and accountability.
• Respond appropriately to urgent situations and follow established emergency and
• incident-reporting procedures.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to resident support and housing operations as
• assigned.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have experience working in sober living, behavioral health, substance
• use treatment, mental health, case management, residential services, or another helping
• profession.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, sound judgment,
• reliability, professionalism, and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries while working
• closely with residents.
• Knowledge of 12-Step recovery and the local recovery community is strongly preferred.
• The position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive
• resident information.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Schedule

This is a part-time to full-time, live-in position. The specific work schedule will be established

based upon the needs of Kona Sober Living and the selected employee.

Because housing is provided, the House Manager will reside on the property; however, living on-

site does not mean the employee is continuously on duty. Scheduled working hours, on-call

responsibilities, and off-duty periods will be established by Kona Sober Living.
