At Wisconsin Steel & Tube, customer success is vital to the long-term success of our organization. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for providing exceptional service to assigned customers while actively developing opportunities to retain, grow, and expand WST's business.


The Inside Sales Representative serves as a primary point of contact for assigned customers and is responsible for managing day-to-day customer needs including pricing, availability, quoting, order processing, order status, delivery requirements, and follow-up.

The Inside Sales Representative is expected to proactively contact existing customers and prospective customers to identify new opportunities, increase WST's share of customer business, develop new accounts, and promote WST's products and value-added capabilities.


The successful candidate will operate with a strong sense of urgency, take ownership of customer needs and sales opportunities, and consistently look for ways to create value for both the customer and Wisconsin Steel & Tube.


Responsibilities & Duties:

· Serve as a primary day-to-day contact with all assigned customers/accounts.

· Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers.

· Prepare accurate and timely quotations for customers and prospects- obtain necessary pricing, material availability, lead times, and processing information from internal departments and suppliers.

· Respond promptly and professionally to customer communication.

· Proactively communicate changes to customer commitments and follow through until resolution.

· Monitor customer needs and identify potential service, delivery, quality, pricing, or availability concerns.

· Work with internal departments to resolve customer issues.

· Escalate significant or critical customer issues to sales leadership as appropriate.

· Maintain accurate customer information, contacts, notes, and opportunities.

· Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.

· Support cross-functional teams that focus on managing our customers.

· Complete continuous improvement projects for the department and company as needed.

· Follow and comply with all safety regulations, work rules, and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: Requires associates degree; or one-year relevant experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience. Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred: industrial supply sales, agricultural service & products, metal manufacturing, industrial and commercial equipment, and/or distribution.
