POSITION SUMMARY:

The Creative & Post Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising the creative production team and overseeing the post-production workflow for Eagle Mountain International Church creative media. This position manages projects from production handoff through final delivery and distribution, ensuring projects remain organized, on schedule, and consistent with the creative direction and standards established by the Creative Media Director.

 

This position supports the Creative Media Director during the development and planning of television programs, podcasts, promotional content, ministry segments, and other creative projects. During production, this role provides support as needed while the Creative Media Director and Production Supervisor oversee production execution. Following production, the Creative & Post Production Supervisor assumes primary responsibility for moving projects through the complete post-production process and maintaining oversight of the department’s post-production calendar and workflow.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creative Development and Production:

·         Support the Creative Media Director in the development of television programs, podcasts, promotional videos, ministry segments, digital content and other creative projects

·         Participate in creative meetings, concept development, script development, production planning and asset gathering as assigned

·         Provide creative input, ideas and recommendations during the development process

·         Assist the Creative Media Director in translating creative concepts into production and post-production needs

·         Coordinate with the Production Supervisor to ensure post-production requirements are considered during production planning

·         Participate in productions as needed to support the successful transition of projects into post-production

·         Identify footage, graphics, audio, interviews and other assets required to complete projects following production

·         Maintain awareness of upcoming productions and delivery requirements to appropriately plan post-production resources and schedules

 

Post-Production and Project Management:

·         Oversee the post-production process for EMIC television programs, podcasts, promotional videos, ministry segments, digital content and other assigned creative projects

·         Maintain oversight of the complete creative post-production calendar and ensure projects are properly prioritized, assigned, tracked and delivered according to established deadlines

·         Assume primary project ownership following production and manage projects through editing, graphics, audio mixing, review, revisions, approval, final delivery, publishing and archiving

·         Assign editing and post-production projects to staff and contractors based on project needs, workload, priorities and deadlines

·         Maintain awareness of the status of all active post-production projects and proactively address scheduling conflicts, production delays, missing assets and other issues that could affect delivery

·         Establish project timelines and communicate deadlines, priorities and expectations to team members and contractors

·         Review projects throughout the post-production process and provide creative notes, feedback and direction to editors and other creative personnel

·         Coordinate project reviews and revisions with the Creative Media Director, producers, ministry leadership and other stakeholders as needed

·         Ensure approved revisions are completed accurately and final content is delivered according to established standards

·         Project manage specialized post-production services including audio mixing, graphics, color correction and other services as required while coordinating with the appropriate technical teams or contractors

·         Create rough cuts and assemble or organize project assets when needed to assist the post-production process

·         Ensure project files, footage, graphics, audio and final deliverables are properly organized, stored and archived

·         Develop and maintain efficient post-production workflows, standards and processes

·         Regularly communicate project status, deadlines, resource needs and potential challenges to the Creative Media Director

 

Digital Content and YouTube Management:

·         Oversee the operational management of assigned EMIC YouTube channels and digital video platforms

·         Manage the scheduling, uploading, publishing and organization of video content

·         Oversee the creation and delivery of thumbnails, titles, descriptions, playlists and other elements required for publishing

·         Ensure published content is accurate, properly presented and released according to established schedules

·         Maintain organization and consistency across assigned channels and content libraries

·         Coordinate with appropriate departments and team members when content supports larger ministry marketing or communication initiatives

·         Monitor platform requirements, features and best practices that affect the publishing and presentation of EMIC content

 

Team Supervision:

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, leadership and direction to assigned editors, producers, coordinators and other creative personnel
  • Manage employee workloads, project assignments, priorities, schedules and time off in coordination with department needs
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports and provide ongoing coaching, feedback and development
  • Address employee performance concerns and participate in performance management processes in accordance with organizational policies
  • Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for deadlines, quality standards, communication and assigned responsibilities
  • Help develop the creative and technical abilities of team members
  • Foster a collaborative, organized and solutions-oriented working environment
  • Select, schedule, assign and manage creative contractors within established department guidelines and approved resources
  • Provide contractors with project expectations, creative direction, deadlines, assets and feedback necessary to complete assigned work
  • Monitor contractor performance and communicate contractor needs or concerns to the Creative Media Director
  • Coordinate with the Production Supervisor and Audio Engineer Supervisor to maintain clear workflows between production, audio, post-production and final delivery
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High School Graduate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Television, Communications, Media Production or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Requires minimum 5 years experience in television, video production, post-production, digital media or a related production environment
  • Previous experience supervising or leading creative personnel, editors, contractors or production teams preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple post-production projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience with television programming, podcasts, digital video and online content distribution preferred
  • Experience managing YouTube channels or similar digital video platforms preferred

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of television, video, podcast and digital media production
  • Thorough understanding of post-production workflows including editing, graphics, audio, color, review, approval, export, delivery and archiving
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to establish priorities, assign resources, track progress and ensure deadlines are met
  • Strong creative judgment and the ability to provide clear creative direction and constructive feedback
  • Ability to understand and execute the creative vision established by the Creative Media Director and ministry leadership
  • Working knowledge of professional video editing software and post-production systems
  • Understanding of YouTube and digital video publishing workflows
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead employees and contractors while maintaining positive working relationships
  • Ability to identify production challenges and proactively develop solutions
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision while keeping leadership informed
  • Must be organized, dependable, flexible and detail oriented

  • Ability to work effectively with production, audio, creative, ministry and administrative teams
  • Must stay current with relevant production technology, post-production workflows and digital content platforms

  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office and production equipment

  • Must be able to sit and work at computer and editing workstations for extended periods
  • May require standing, walking, bending, reaching or assisting with production equipment as needed
  • Must be able to travel as required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Works in office, post-production, studio, church and remote production environments
  • Working hours may include evenings and weekends based on production and delivery schedules
  • May require extended hours to meet production deadlines, complete projects or support special events
