Description
The Wolf-Gordon NYC Showroom Account Manager serves as the on-site face of the brand, hosting clients in the Wolf-Gordon New York City showroom while managing a full account portfolio through a remote, digital-first sales model. The role operates at a high pace with a high standard: respond quickly, exceed expectations, and give every client full attention, whether in the showroom or working remotely.
Location:
Wolf-Gordon’s showroom is in NYC’s D&D building.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for showroom clients — both walk-ins and scheduled appointments — discussing projects, presenting materials, and recommending options and alternates
- Claim and manage open Salesforce cases, maintaining industry-leading response times and prioritizing effectively across an active queue
- Engage consultatively with specifiers, educating clients on products, specifications, applications, and project requirements to support confident decision-making
- Serve as the liaison between clients and internal departments, following up persistently to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
- Navigate competitive bid situations and manage escalated or difficult client issues with professionalism and sound judgment
- Follow active specifications through the design process to support successful orders
- Conduct virtual product presentations and project review calls
- Proactively engage focus accounts through library updates, thank-you notes, and new product previews
- Follow up on Project Specific Sample (PSS) activity to identify and develop opportunities
- Collaborate with the team daily
Showroom Responsibilities
The showroom is open for client visits 5 days a week. In addition to client-facing responsibilities, the Account Manager maintains the physical upkeep and presentation of the space.
- Maintain and organize the Wolf-Gordon merchandise library
- Manage showroom display updates, including coordinating wing board orders and working with the workroom on reupholstered wall forms (approximately two to three times per year)
- Ensure the showroom environment consistently reflects the Wolf-Gordon brand
Requirements
- Prior showroom experience, preferably two to three years
- Background in interior design, architecture and design (A&D) sales, or showroom environments, with working knowledge of industry terminology
- Confident, polished presence in client-facing settings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a consistent record of prompt response times
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities across in-person and digital channels without loss of detail
- Self-sufficient, requiring minimal oversight
- Consultative approach, with genuine interest in solving client problems
- Willingness to learn new systems required

Salary Description
$60K Base + $40K-60K guaranteed Commission
