We are seeking a Quality Analytics and Clinical Reporting Specialist to support data analytics, reporting, performance measurement, and clinical quality initiatives across the organization in Maine's Aroostook, Hancock, or Washington Counties.
This full-time, exempt position transforms clinical and operational data into accurate, actionable information to support quality improvement, regulatory and grant reporting, population health, measurement-based care, and organizational decision-making.
The Specialist works closely with Quality Management, clinical and operational leadership, Information Technology, Finance, and other teams to develop reports and dashboards, validate data, monitor performance, identify care gaps, and strengthen AMHC's ability to use data to improve services and outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Analytics and Performance Measurement
- Develop, maintain, and enhance quality, clinical, access, safety, and performance dashboards.
- Analyze performance trends, variations, and care gaps and communicate findings to leaders and teams.
- Partner with programs to establish meaningful measures, definitions, baselines, targets, and monitoring plans.
- Provide analytical support for quality improvement projects.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc analyses for leadership, committees, funders, regulators, and other authorized stakeholders.
Clinical and Regulatory Reporting
- Design, build, test, document, and maintain EHR-based and other approved clinical reporting solutions.
- Support regulatory, contractual, accreditation, grant, CCBHC, and organizational reporting requirements.
- Maintain report specifications, data definitions, calculation logic, validation records, schedules, and distribution documentation.
- Collaborate with Information Technology, Finance, Quality Management, and program leaders to reconcile data and resolve reporting discrepancies.
- Ensure reports are accurate, timely, reproducible, and limited to authorized users and purposes.
Measurement-Based Care and Patient-Reported Outcomes
- Support standardized screening instruments, clinical outcome measures, and patient-reported outcome tools.
- Develop reports and dashboards to monitor completion rates, changes over time, and follow-up needs.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to integrate measurement into workflows and quality improvement.
- Provide training and support to staff on data collection, workflows, report interpretation, and documentation expectations.
Population Health and Clinical Decision Support
- Develop population health reports identifying care gaps, follow-up needs, service utilization patterns, and opportunities to improve access and outcomes.
- Support monitoring of clinical decision-support initiatives, including medication safety, metabolic and laboratory monitoring, AIMS completion, standardized screening, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders, prescribers, and informatics staff to define reporting requirements and validate outputs.
- Assist teams in using aggregate data to plan outreach and monitor evidence-based practices.
Data Quality, Governance, and Validation
- Conduct routine data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance.
- Investigate data issues and coordinate corrective action with responsible departments.
- Promote consistent data definitions, documentation practices, and data stewardship standards.
- Maintain a data dictionary and other documentation necessary for reliable organizational reporting.
- Handle protected and confidential information in accordance with HIPAA, organizational policy, role-based access, and minimum-necessary requirements.
Consultation, Education, and Continuous Improvement
- Consult with leaders and teams to clarify business questions and identify appropriate measures.
- Present analyses and recommendations in clear language to technical, clinical, operational, leadership, and Board audiences.
- Develop training materials and provide education on dashboards, reports, data interpretation, and performance measurement.
- Support a data-informed culture focused on learning, accountability, mission impact, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain current knowledge of healthcare quality measurement, reporting methodologies, data visualization, and behavioral health performance requirements.

Schedule
- Exempt position.
- Normal agency business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional work outside normal business hours may be required for implementations, upgrades, incident response, reporting deadlines, or other organizational needs.
- In-catchment travel may be required for meetings, training, workflow observation, system implementation, testing, and staff support.
- Remote work may be available based on organizational needs.

- Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare administration, health informatics, data analytics, statistics, business intelligence, nursing, quality management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare analytics, quality improvement, clinical reporting, informatics, performance measurement, or a closely related area.
- Demonstrated experience developing reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and analytical tools and validating healthcare data.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with EHR reporting, business intelligence, database, or visualization platforms.
- Ability to interpret complex data, identify meaningful patterns, explain limitations, and communicate findings clearly to varied audiences.
- Strong organizational, project management, documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in behavioral health, substance use services, integrated care, CCBHC reporting, population health, measurement-based care, accreditation, or healthcare quality is preferred.
- Relevant certification in healthcare quality, informatics, analytics, project management, or a related discipline is preferred.
