We are seeking a dynamic full-time House Director at the Eta Iota Chapter at the University of Nevada, Reno. You will oversee the operations of the chapter house with 38 women living in this academic year. The ideal candidate will be a friendly, creative self-starter, great listener who supports the members and keeps a happy, well-run place to live and gather. The position starts January 2027.
This is a live-in position requiring overnight stays when the women are in residence. The total compensation for this position includes a yearly salary range of $40,000 - $44,000, medical, dental, vision insurance, company paid benefits, private living quarters with bathroom, utilities, internet/Wi-Fi, reserved parking space, 10 chef prepared meals per week during the academic year, and paid time off including university recognized holidays.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
* Ensures a safe, comfortable, and productive environment for collegians.
* Coordinates routine maintenance and manages multiple service providers.
* Obtains estimates from local vendors for maintenance repairs.
* Communicates house maintenance issues to the LLC management team.
* Immediately reports all damages which require insurance claims to the LLC management and participates in reporting damage to insurance.
* Oversees contracted service providers to include: gardeners, housekeepers, handyman, and routine service maintenance.
* Provides leadership and oversight to the chef.
* Communicates a weekly report on the status of the facility and any issues to LLC management team.
* Communicates regularly with the chapter adviser, chapter president and director of house management.
* Oversees the continental breakfast service, including purchasing supplies and ensuring food and beverages are stocked and available for the members.
* Assists with recruiting, interviewing and drafting staff performance evaluations/discipline warnings.
* Maintains and is responsible for a credit card and monthly reconciliation.
* Adheres to campus, Fraternity, and Chapter policies and rules.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous house director experience required.
* Ability to manage a varied schedule of daily, weekly or monthly tasks.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Documents, and computer skills required.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to pivot, work independently and efficiently.
* Ability to maintain confidential information.
* Positive solution-focused attitude.
* Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with students, parents, alumnae, service providers, and community resources.

Time Commitment :
The House Director must be onsite, overnight, seven nights per week except when prior arrangements have been made for other adult supervision.
