Description

Summary: Keeps official records and executes administrative policies determined by or in

conjunction with other officials by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned.

  • Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible.
  • Arranges programs, events, or conferences by arranging for facilities and caterer, issuing information or invitations, coordinating speakers, and controlling event budget.
  • Directs preparation and distribution of records such as student forms, meeting minutes, and
  • faculty proposals.
  • Assists faculty with advising, graduation checks, grading, and other duties as assigned.
  • Oversees purchasing procedures within the college of business and prepares reports on outstanding expenses.
  • Schedules and trains student workers to work the A/V equipment in Ayers Auditorium.
  • Prepares newsletters and weekly bulletins to keep students informed about events, deadlines, and job opportunities.
  • Arranges travel plans and itineraries, compiles documents for travel-related meetings.

Education and/or Experience

  • At least a sophomore by hours, with three or more semesters remaining. A student enrolled in the
  • Dual BBA/MBA program is preferred. Must have good academic standing.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Ability to effectively present
  • information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a basic knowledge of Excel and be able to utilize google-based services such as Calendar, Forms, and Drive.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
