Maintenance QUALIFICATIONS

Must meet the organizational standards for hiring and all of the following conditions:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check, and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Minimum High School or GED education
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Communication, is essential to the success of the department
• Willing and eager to learn varying trades, and application of variety of repair practices.
• Confidentiality and professionalism are essential.

Maintenance Essential Functions:

• Check fire alarm system.
• Maintain generators, heating systems, well conditions, plumbing, septic and appliances.
• Make regular inspections to evaluate operating efficiency of equipment and plans for preventative maintenance.
• Grade road when needed.
• Carpentry work.
• May train and supervise clients on non-mechanical work as part of vocational program.
• Interior and exterior building repairs, maintenance, remodeling, transportation.
• Coordinate General maintenance of vehicles.
• Supports staff in the crisis management of clients, when needed.
• On call on weekend, rotation
• Follow direction of departmental leadership as needed
• Responding to maintenance requests in a timely fashion.

Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center (MMYTC) is a nonprofit residential behavioral health treatment center serving adolescents with serious emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders. Located in Arizona, we provide structured, trauma-informed, and clinically sophisticated care for youth who require intensive therapeutic support. MMYTC staff routinely treat vulnerable youth who have survived abuse, neglect and exploitation in their communities, which provides a unique opportunity for staff to provide life-saving care.
