JOB TITLE: Advancement Associate

JOB SUMMARY: The person in this year-round position will work collaboratively with the Advancement team to ensure advancement office processes are conducted in a highly professional, collaborative manner that honors the mission and vision of Lighthouse Christian School. This person will also provide organizational coordination and support with communications, admissions, development, marketing, events, and other duties as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Born-again Christian and credible Christian role model whose godly lifestyle and character demonstrate obedience to God and the Holy Scriptures. 
  • Active member of an evangelical Trinitarian church. 
  • Accepts and supports the school’s statement of faith and indicates a continuing sense of God’s direction in working at Lighthouse Christian School. 
  • Works efficiently and joyfully with a service-oriented attitude under stressful situations with constant interruption.  
  • Positively contributes to a mission-minded, highly collaborative work environment. 
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite software. 
  • Computer experience in various software systems, including Renweb/FACTS, ParentSquare, Canva and/or similar design programs, or a willingness to learn.  
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). 
  • Respectful and courteous personal relations with students, staff, volunteers, current and prospective families, and the public.  
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrates clerical expertise and experience. 
  • Exhibits a high level of professional confidentiality. 
  • Ability to analyze data and insights to guide recommendations and decisions. 
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate potential needs/problems and be resourceful in finding solutions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Communications and Marketing 

  • Assist the Director of Advancement with communication needs on various platforms as assigned, including weekly newsletters, the foyer entrance screen, and social media platforms. 
  • Support the Director of Advancement in the implementation of strategic communication plans. 
  • Collaborate and assist with various communications and marketing projects throughout the school year, including the creation of written communication, visual graphics and/or photos, and videos. 
  • Attend school-wide events and classroom activities and take photos to share on communications platforms.  
  • Work collaboratively with the Advancement team and other school staff and faculty to organize and support school events.  

Admissions and Enrollment 

  • Provide organizational coordination and assistance to the Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator and Director of Advancement in the admissions and enrollment process throughout the school year. 
  • Process applications and track admissions and enrollment data using both web-based platforms such as  Renweb/FACTS and paper files. 
  • Communicate effectively in-person, over the phone, and via email with prospective families regarding applications, assessments, interviews, tours, and enrollment offers.  
  • Communicate effectively with staff members who participate in the admissions and enrollment process. 
  • Participate in admissions committee meetings and help prepare information to be presented.  
  • Assist the Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator with leading tours for prospective families. 
  • Assist with parent ambassador programs to help connect new families with current families to increase a sense of community building and positive school culture. 
  • Assist with preschool-8th grade assessments as directed for prospective students. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Advancement team to organize and support open houses, new family events, shadow days, and other admissions-related events. 

Development 

  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of development activities (i.e. fundraising events, donor programs, procurement of auction items, cultivation, etc.) as directed by the Director of Advancement. 

WORK REQUIREMENTS 

  • A skills test will be part of the application process. 
  • Full-time, year-round position; see annual contract for specifics. 
  • Hourly wage and work schedule to be determined by annual contract. 
  • Participate in meetings, devotions, professional learning community, and staff in-services as required.

Salary Description
$23-$25.70/hr, depending on experience
