POSITION TITLE: Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Manager
ROLE TYPE: People/Process Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Manager is responsible for providing the subject matter expertise to lead the direction and assist the operational effectiveness of Leadership for growing the CDI and Quality business line of the company. The CDI Manager provides industry expertise, leadership skills, and operational experience to enhance the delivery of services to clients and the CDI and Quality business unit. This role will develop and deliver education and perform audits while maintaining and strengthening client business relationships. This position is expected to interact with the client appropriately, as well as other e4health team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision of CDI and Quality business units
- Supervises teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within e4health
- Contributes to CDI, Quality, HIM, coding and compliance subject matter expertise/consulting services to clients, consulting staff, and the Leadership
- Performs and/or leads CDI Assessments and Audits
- Composes CDI tips and CDI education
- Seeks client feedback and input to support successful ongoing business relationships
- Works in tandem with Leadership maintaining an applied understanding of product delivery processes
- Participates in team building, operational improvements, and professional growth to strengthen and advance the service line
- Provides initial and on-going training and education for CDI staff at client sites
- Communicates with clients and provide client support (as needed)
- Maintains confidentiality, security, and standards of ethics with all e4health and Client information
- Works at appropriate level of independence and works within scope of position and direction
- Demonstrates professionalism and accuracy in completing responsibilities within deadlines
- Manages time, prioritizes, and organizes work effectively

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sitting, talking, hearing and near vision are required over 90% of the time. Feeling is required over 90% of the time and reaching is required about 50% of the time. The ability to travel to field sites may be required up to 15% of the time.
WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Over 90% of the time is spent indoors, with protection from weather conditions. Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable is present only in unusual situations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- RN, Current nursing license is required
- BSN in addition to RN is preferred
- Candidate must possess current ACDIS CCDS or AHIMA CDIP certification
- 5+ years of clinical documentation experience required with an acute care facility required
- 2+ years of second level review, auditing and/or leadership experience required
- Coding skills with working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and PCS and payment methodologies
- Minimum 2 years of remote experience required, consulting experience preferred
- Strong analytical skills to clinically evaluate the medical record
- Ability to independently use multiple computer applications for medical record review along with proficiency utilizing Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to communicate effectively with e4health management and all levels of client personnel
- Organization and prioritization skills
