Exercise Science Adjunct - Remote Description

South College Online is seeking a dynamic and qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate Exercise Science courses in a remote learning environment. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging online instruction and contribute to student learning and success within the Exercise Science Department. This position reports directly to the Program Director for Exercise Science.

Responsibilities:

• Instruction: Teach Undergraduate Exercise Science courses in an online learning environment, ensuring an engaging and supportive virtual classroom.
• Course Delivery: Develop and deliver course content that meets program and institutional standards.
• Student Support: Provide substantive, timely feedback on assignments and offer proactive academic support to students.
• Assessment and Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and grades in compliance with institutional policies.
• Collaboration: Partner with the Program Director and department faculty to continuously enhance course quality and      student engagement strategies.

Education:

• Candidates must possess a master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Exercise Physiology with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours specifically in the teaching discipline to meet institutional accreditation standards.

Certifications:

• Active professional certifications from nationally recognized organizations, such as the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), are strongly preferred.

Experience:

• Prior experience teaching online undergraduate courses in higher education is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering student engagement and success in a virtual learning environment.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a remote work setting.
• Proficiency with learning management systems and digital communication tools.
