Righter's Auto Repair is looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our team as an Automotive Parts Runner & Customer Shuttle Driver supporting our Lansing, Grand Ledge, and Grand Rapids locations.

This is an entry-level position with real opportunity to grow.

You don't need years of automotive experience. We're looking for someone who is reliable, good with people, interested in cars, and wants an opportunity to learn the automotive business.

You'll start by helping keep our shops moving - picking up and delivering parts, transporting customers when needed, transferring items between locations, and supporting our teams.

Along the way, you'll work around experienced technicians, service advisors, and managers and learn how a professional automotive repair business operates.

For the right person, this position could be the first step toward becoming a Service Advisor, Automotive Technician, or another long-term position within Righter's Auto Repair.

What You'll Do

• Pick up automotive parts from dealerships, parts suppliers, warehouses, and other vendors
• Deliver parts to our three repair locations
• Transfer parts, tools, supplies, and other items between locations
• Return cores, warranty parts, and incorrect or unused parts
• Verify that you're picking up the correct parts and orders
• Shuttle customers to and from our shops when needed
• Provide friendly and professional service to our customers
• Communicate with service advisors, technicians, managers, and parts suppliers
• Keep the company vehicle clean and presentable
• Help with general shop support when you're not on the road
• Learn automotive parts, terminology, and shop operations

Automotive experience is helpful, but not required.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles
• Reliable attendance
• Ability to regularly lift and carry automotive parts and supplies
• Comfortable using a smartphone and GPS/navigation
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:30 PM

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-5:30 PM
Locations: Supporting Righter's Auto Repair locations in Lansing, Grand Ledge, and Grand Rapids
