To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of attorney-represented Bodily Injury claims handling experience
• Prior auto claims experience
• Experience handling litigated bodily injury claims
• Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance principles, coverage analysis, liability investigations, and claims handling practices
• Ability to evaluate injury exposures, negotiate settlements, and manage claims through resolution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and time management abilities
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable Adjuster Licenses as required
• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST supporting California claims operations

Position Summary:

The Senior Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster is responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving attorney-represented bodily injury claims. This role requires strong claim handling expertise, sound judgment, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively manage a high-volume caseload while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review and determine applicable coverage for assigned claims
• Investigate and confirm liability decisions
• Communicate with injured parties, claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and other stakeholders
• Request, review, and analyze medical records, specials, and supporting documentation
• Evaluate claim exposures and determine appropriate settlement values
• Negotiate settlements within established authority levels
• Handle and respond to time-limit demands in a timely manner
• Ensure all conditions of settlement and bodily injury demands are addressed appropriately
• Maintain accurate and detailed claim documentation
• Draft professional correspondence, reports, and claim file notes
• Manage claims in accordance with company guidelines, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain productivity, quality, and service standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multiple state adjuster licenses
• Experience handling claims across multiple jurisdictions
• Knowledge of uninsured/underinsured motorist bodily injury claims (UMBI)
• Previous experience working in a paperless claims environment
• High-volume claims handling experience

Working Conditions:

• Remote position supporting California claims operations
• Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM PST
• Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs

• Occasional travel may be required
• Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer throughout the day
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds and perform standard office activities
