JOB TITLE: Provisioning & Asset Management Specialist


JOB SUMMARY:

The Provisioning & Asset Management Specialist is responsible for the provisioning of network and voice equipment — including routers, switches, LTE gateways, voice gateways, and HPBX endpoints — and for the tracking, warehousing, and lifecycle management of that equipment through its full lifecycle. The role receives equipment and provisioning requests via ticketing system from Support, Order Admin, and Service Delivery Network Engineers, and executes those requests based on the specifications provided.


This position reports to the Supervisor, Warehouse Operations.


There are no direct reports to this position.


This position regularly supports: Support, Order Admin, and Service Delivery Network Engineering teams.


Work Arrangement: On-site.


Key Responsibilities

Provisioning

  • Provision routers, switches, LTE gateways, voice gateways, and HPBX endpoints per specifications received via ticket from Support, Order Admin, and Service Delivery Network Engineering teams.
  • Validate device configurations against ticket requirements prior to deployment or shipment.
  • Maintain provisioning documentation and standard configuration templates.
  • Escalate incomplete or ambiguous ticket requests back to the originating requester for clarification.

Asset Management

  • Receive, inspect, and log incoming equipment shipments.
  • Assign and track equipment by serial number/asset tag across inventory locations, customer accounts, and deployment status.
  • Maintain accurate real-time inventory records across the equipment lifecycle — receiving, staging, deployment, return, and retirement.
  • Perform periodic inventory audits and reconciliations.
  • Prepare, package, and ship equipment to field locations or customers.
  • Process returns and RMAs, including vendor coordination for defective equipment.
  • Maintain organized, labeled warehouse and staging areas.

License Administration

  • Track software, maintenance, and subscription renewals.
  • Coordinate renewals with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Maintain renewal calendars and records.

Ticket Workflow

  • Receive provisioning and equipment requests via the ticketing system from Support, Order Admin, and Service Delivery Network Engineers.
  • Prioritize and process tickets according to SLA/turnaround targets.
  • Update ticket status and close out completed requests with confirmation details (serial numbers, configuration notes, ship tracking, etc.).

Service Delivery Metrics & KPIs

  • Inventory Accuracy: 98%+
  • Provisioning Accuracy: 98%+
  • Shipping Accuracy: 99%+
  • Ticket SLA Compliance: 95%+

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma or GED – required 
  • 2+ years of experience in telecom, IT operations, provisioning, logistics, or inventory management. – required 
  • Comfort working from a ticketing system and following documented configuration specs. – required 
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills. – required 
  • Forklift certification - required; must be obtained within 6 months of employment. 
  • Working knowledge of routers, switches, LTE gateways, voice/SIP gateway devices, and HPBX endpoints. – highly preferred

Provisioning & Asset Management Specialist I

Performs equipment provisioning, inventory transactions, and shipping/receiving activities under established processes and documented specifications.

Provisioning & Asset Management Specialist II

Handles complex provisioning activities across router, switch, LTE, voice gateway, and HPBX endpoint deployments; owns inventory reconciliation, exception handling, and process improvement initiatives.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Standing, walking, bending, and reaching required for warehouse and staging activities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This is a full-time, non-exempt on-site position based at Telesystem’s warehouse/operations facility.
