Description
The Front Office Assistant provides professional and welcoming support for visitors, staff, students, and families. This role is responsible for communications, performing clerical duties, and supporting the administrative team to ensure the smooth operation of the school office.

Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional office setting, preferably in a school or educational environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Suite
- Experience operating standard office equipment (copiers, fax machines, printers, etc.)
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Customer service-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds to shoulder height occasionally
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and document management.
- Support the administrative team with various tasks and projects as assigned.
- Ensure the front office area, lobby, workroom, and workspaces are organized and well-maintained.
- Input and maintain data for record keeping in multiple software systems.
- Request office and workroom supplies as needed.
- Cooperate with the Board of Directors and Administration on implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.
- Effectively represent the school, its program, policies, and philosophy to the Board and community.
- Follow the grievance policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook in dealing with conflict with students, parents, staff, and administration.
- Know the procedures for handling emergency situations.
- Work collaboratively with other staff, maintaining a supportive and encouraging relationship and assisting in the development and implementation of programs/processes to enhance the school's overall operations.
- Seek the counsel of the administration, colleagues, and parents while maintaining a teachable attitude.
