Elmet Technologies is hiring a Machine Operator, Annealing, 2nd Shift to join our manufacturing team in Euclid, Ohio.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll operate specialized annealing equipment used to process metal at carefully controlled temperatures. You’ll load and unload material, monitor time and temperature requirements, maintain accurate production records, inspect and handle material carefully, and help keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The role works with GE and Abbott mesh belt annealers and roller hearth annealers, following specific production schedules for time and temperature. 

Previous manufacturing experience is helpful, but you don’t need years of experience to get started. If you’re dependable, comfortable with basic math, willing to learn, and serious about safety and quality, we want to hear from you.

Your Schedule

This is a full-time, 2nd Shift position at our Euclid, Ohio manufacturing facility; hours are 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

What You’ll Do

As a Machine Operator, Annealing, 2nd Shift, you’ll help make sure material is processed correctly, efficiently, and without unnecessary damage. During a typical shift, you’ll:

• Load material onto the appropriate mesh belt annealer according to production instructions
• Set up work based on required annealing times and temperatures
• Record material type, ingot number, production order, time, and temperature in the annealing log
• Unload finished material and accurately enter production information into the computer system
• Weigh material and maintain required production records
• Load and unload the roller hearth annealer
• Process finished products for flattening and stress-relief annealing
• Record material width and length when required
• Wash material coming from tension mills and other production orders
• Use lift equipment to safely move and position material
• Handle material carefully to prevent scratches, dents, and other damage
• Follow established safety, quality, and ISO production procedures
• Monitor the process and understand how changes in process conditions can affect the      finished product
• Work with Maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently
• Help identify preventive maintenance needs

One year of manufacturing experience is preferred, but not required. 

There’s More to It Than Loading a Furnace

Annealing requires both attention to detail and good judgment. You’ll need to determine how to load material efficiently—for example, matching different material lengths to maximize the amount moving through the annealer—while also arranging material in a way that minimizes scratches, dents, and handling defects. 

That means thinking about quality, efficiency, and equipment utilization every time you prepare a load.
