I. General Job Description

This position drives the organization’s mission by aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position enhances partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. This position is hands-on and strategic. The HR Operations Manager has the high business acumen to ensure they drive HR operational excellence and support optimal employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to stakeholders at all levels on human resources policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Design and implement processes and procedures that support Human Resources operations and areas of responsibility. 
  • Drive standardization, process improvement, and automation to areas of oversight.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and updates and implement or evolve any current practices to drive compliance; identify and communicate any exceptions or items of concern to HR leadership and lead the process of issue resolution.
  • Maintain discretion with regard to the handling of sensitive information and requests.
  • Guide additional programs and special projects as assigned. 

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR Leadership or other HR roles including coaching, employee relations, performance management, employee development, training, and HR project management.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Applied knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and statutes for employment.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced change.
  • Thorough understanding and hands-on application of HR principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication; must be a clear, concise, and persuasive communicator.

III. Desired Job Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in HR Leadership or other HR roles including coaching, employee relations, performance management, employee development, training, and HR project management.
  • Applied knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and statutes for employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with all organizational levels and positively influence teams.
  • PHR/SPHR Certification.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish/English.

  • Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.
  • Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • Communication: Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.
  • Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and taste or smell. The employee is required to sit for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is normally loud.

Salary Description
Up to $120,000.00 Annually
