Description

We are excited to add a Sales Manager to our hotel team! This is a great opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys building connections, developing new business, and seeing the direct impact of their efforts on hotel performance.

The Sales Manager will work closely with the Director of Sales and hotel leadership to grow revenue through business travel, group sales, account development, prospecting, and local market relationships. You’ll manage existing accounts while actively identifying new opportunities to bring business into the hotel.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities within assigned market segments and territories.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing corporate, business travel, group, and other assigned accounts.
  • Conduct proactive sales activities, including prospecting calls, appointments, client visits, site tours, networking, and local market outreach.
  • Meet or exceed individual sales activity and revenue goals established with the Director of Sales.
  • Monitor account production, market trends, competitive activity, and business opportunities to identify areas for growth.
  • Develop strategies to address changes in account production or market demand.
  • Conduct hotel tours and site inspections for prospective clients and decision-makers.
  • Prepare proposals, follow up on inquiries, negotiate within established guidelines, and help convert opportunities into booked business.
  • Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with prospective and existing clients.
  • Participate in sales blitzes, promotions, networking events, and other business-development initiatives.
  • Represent the hotel at appropriate community and professional organizations to develop relationships and generate leads.
  • Partner with hotel operations to ensure client expectations and commitments are communicated and successfully executed.
  • Meet and greet key clients and onsite contacts when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate account, activity, and sales information within required hotel sales systems.
  • Participate in sales meetings, revenue discussions, and other hotel meetings as required.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the hotel, competitive set, local market, and Avion Hospitality sales strategies.
  • Support Manager-on-Duty or occasional weekend coverage when scheduled based on hotel needs.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales or General Manager.

Requirements

 What We're Looking For

  • Previous hotel sales, hospitality sales, account management, business development, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience with business travel, corporate accounts, group sales, or hotel sales is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable prospecting and developing new business through phone, email, networking, and in-person outreach.
  • Ability to analyze account production, market information, and sales performance to identify opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with hotel leadership and operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn hotel sales, CRM, and property-management systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for sales calls, client meetings, and networking events as needed.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, sound judgment, and a guest-focused approach in a fast-paced hotel environment.
