Position Summary
Are you ready to drive the next generation of smart building technologies? As a BAS Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact Building Automation, HVAC, Energy, and Retro-commissioning projects.
You will orchestrate internal teams, specialized field resources, and external subcontractors to ensure seamlessly executed projects delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will serve as the operational backbone for multiple concurrent projects across our territory and drive innovation, energy efficiency, and operational excellence for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Execution: Serve as the central leader across all assigned building automation projects, guiding installations from post-sale release through system check-out and client turnover.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open, consistent, and proactive communication with project owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep project schedules and objectives aligned.
- Resource & Workforce Planning: Forecast manpower requirements, manage material logistics, and schedule field resources to optimize efficiency and site productivity.
- Subcontractor Management: Direct and oversee subcontractors; ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, project specifications, and timelines.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage project financial health, including accurate progress billings, timely change orders, and prompt handling of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposal(RFPs).
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and roadblocks early, implementing strategic solutions before issues affect budget or timeline.
- Client Relationship Building: Foster long-term, trust-based partnerships with clients, building owners, and project partners to drive repeat business and brand loyalty.
Qualifications & Capabilities
Required:
- Experience: 5+ years of construction-related project management experience.
- Technical Domain Knowledge: Solid working knowledge of HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), or related mechanical/electrical control fields.
- Communication & Service: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills paired with a strong customer-first mindset.
- Adaptability & Collaboration: Proven ability to thrive both independently and in a collaborative team environment, adapting quickly to unique project demands.
- Organization & Multitasking: Exceptional time management skills with the ability to navigate multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously.
- Problem Solving: Superb conflict management and analytical skills.
- Software Proficiency: High proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
Preferred:
- Associate degree with 2+ years of construction project management experience in building automation, mechanical, or HVAC, OR a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Ability to kneel, squat, twist, bend, and reach regularly.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements, use hand tools with dexterity, and grasp/manipulate small objects.
- Ability to correctly wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by site conditions.
- Ability to regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, and operate phones and computers.
Anticipated Salary Range & Benefits
- Salary: $70,000 - $100,000+ (commensurate with experience)
