The Opportunity
We're looking for a hands-on, organized, and service-oriented HR & Administration Coordinator to own day-to-day HR administration and help keep our Blue Ash office running smoothly.
This is a broad role well suited for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats. You will be the primary internal point of contact for day-to-day HR matters, including payroll coordination, benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding, employee records, and HR systems, while also supporting office administration and operations.
You will work closely with the CFO, cross-functional employees, external benefits partners, recruiters, and other service providers.
Key Responsibilities
HR & People Operations
- Own day-to-day HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and personnel records.
- Maintain employee information and administer HR processes within Paylocity.
- Coordinate payroll processing and partner with Finance to ensure payroll is accurate and timely.
- Coordinate benefits administration with third-party benefits consultants and providers.
- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, policies, and HR processes.
- Coordinate annual benefits enrollment and related employee communications.
- Support workers' compensation, leave administration, and other employee programs.
- Maintain HR policies, employee handbook, required documentation, and employee files.
- Coordinate compliance administration with third-party benefits specialist.
- Maintain accurate employee and headcount information and provide reporting as needed.
- Coordinate recruiting activities, including working with external recruiters, scheduling interviews, and supporting offer and onboarding processes.
- Support annual performance review management cycles and other recurring people processes.
Office & Administration
- Support day-to-day operations of the Blue Ash office and help maintain an organized and professional workplace.
- Coordinate office vendors, supplies, equipment, and facilities-related needs.
- Manage relationships with relevant administrative vendors and service providers.
- Help coordinate company meetings, employee events, and other office activities.
- Take ownership of other administrative needs that arise in a small, growing organization.
Process Improvement
- Help transition HR and administrative responsibilities from shared services to NLign's standalone processes.
- Document recurring HR and administrative procedures and maintain organized records.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and improve HR and administrative workflows.
- Help establish scalable processes that can support NLign as the organization grows.
What You Bring and Requirements
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in HR, People Operations, HR coordination, or a similar role.
- HR Operations: Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, employee records, and general HR administration.
- Systems: Experience working with an HRIS/payroll platform; Paylocity experience is a plus.
- Ownership: Comfortable taking responsibility for day-to-day HR activities with limited supervision and knowing when to escalate more complex matters.
- Organization & Precision: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Discretion: Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information appropriately.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with a service-oriented approach to supporting employees.
- Mindset: Comfortable operating in a small-company environment, wearing multiple hats, and helping build processes rather than simply following established ones.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
- SHRM or similar HR certification is a plus, but not required.
- Candidates must be a U.S. citizen.

- Compensation: $55,000-$60,000 base salary, plus benefits
