Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Real Estate Services provides leadership and strategic oversight for a portfolio of medical office buildings and expense, receivable, and intercompany leases. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them make informed decisions around leased space, operating expenses, occupancy, renewals, and overall real estate strategy while ensuring the portfolio is managed efficiently and effectively.
Beyond portfolio management, this position plays an important role in supporting the healthcare organizations and communities M&O serves. Through thoughtful stewardship, responsive service, and strong relationships, the Senior Manager helps create well-managed environments that allow healthcare providers to focus on delivering care and serving their patients. The ideal candidate is a proactive, collaborative leader who brings strong real estate expertise, sound judgment, and a servant-leadership mindset to both client relationships and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management of a medical office building and lease portfolio, providing strategic guidance on lease expirations, critical dates, renewals, occupancy, and space utilization.
- Develop and oversee property budgets, forecasts, financial reporting, and expense management strategies to support client objectives and operational efficiency.
- Advise clients and stakeholders on lease interpretation, real estate strategies, industry practices, space utilization, and opportunities to optimize their portfolios.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key tenants, executives, clients, landlords, vendors, and other stakeholders, serving as a trusted point of contact and advisor.
- Oversee lease administration activities, including renewals, rent and expense collection, lease compliance, legal notices, and landlord/tenant coordination.
- Oversee vendor relationships, tenant move-in and move-out activities, leasing activities, and other operational requirements across the portfolio.
- Lead and develop team members, including direct supervision, performance reviews, coaching, and career development.
- Represent M&O professionally with clients, industry organizations, government representatives, and other external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or a related field; five years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active Florida Real Estate Salesperson’s license required; license must be obtained within four months of hire if not currently held.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate, lease administration, budgeting, financial reporting, and portfolio management.
- Ability to interpret complex leases, contracts, and other real estate documents and provide sound recommendations.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, presentation, and client relationship skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating with internal teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work effectively with property management and financial systems.
