The Bakery Production Associate is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and services that we as a company represent.  In this critical production position, you will be responsible for safely producing the highest quality Blake’s retail products while upholding the Company’s Core Values. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Assist in all baking operations including but not limited to pies, pastries, caramel apples, caramel corn and donut production 
• Produce quality products while using food safety best practices 
• Preparation and cleaning of production areas 
• Keeping production areas organized in accordance with company 5s procedures 

Qualifications, Skills & Requirements  

• Applicant must be pursuing a high school education, graduated, or higher 
• No prior experience required 
• Skills required for performing this job include: Robust Communication Skills, Great Teamwork Skills and Robust Problem-Solving Skills 
• Ability to move efficiently and timely 
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours a day 
• Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, lifting, kneeling, and reaching will be required 
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds 

Working Conditions 

• The work for this position will be divided between a climate controlled, smoke free office environment, outside and in other business locations.  Normal outdoor weather and travel hazards apply. 
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud at times requiring ear protection. 
• Work will be performed from eight to ten hours per day, five to six days per week.  Weekend work will be required for busy weekends. Some days you may be working with computer terminal and monitor for up to 8 hours.  
• The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold and extreme heat. Eye protection is required around moving parts.  
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and/or use a computer.
