We are seeking a Psychiatrist who provides quality client centered psychiatric care services for patients including comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, routine follow ups and emergency interventions. Develops and implements patient psychiatric treatment plans, records, and progress notes per agency policies and procedures and approved protocols developed within the guidelines of the American Psychiatric Association. Understands there is opportunity for possible future career growth into a Director or Head of Psychiatry as part of succession planning.
Expected Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday
Outline of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide client centered psychiatric health care for patients including but not limited to:
- Conducting a psychiatric evaluation including ordering /performing /interpreting screening and diagnostic procedures and tests
- Conducting routine follow-up visits for monitoring prescribed medication
- Conducting emergency consultation, evaluation or follow up visits as needed
- Providing treatment according to accepted agency standards, protocols and policies
- Assisting in the management of referred and/or complex problems
- Documenting assessment findings, treatment recommendations and plan for continuing care in the clinical record
- Maintaining productivity standards
- Collaborate with physician, clinicians, other agency providers, clinical support staff, administrative staff and community resources in meeting patient and family needs
- Provide health promotion, education and counseling for patient/families related to medication, diagnosis, health issues and coping strategies
- Maintain accurate, legible medical records and returns all assigned charts or patient data (lab reports, consultations, etc.) to medical records in a timely fashion
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of principles of fire, safety, infection control, and OHSA guidelines
- Accept guidance and coaching from the Psychiatric Medical Director into possible future leadership roles.

Minimum Education and Experience
- Doctor of Medicine
- 3 years of relevant experience outside of school working with, evaluating and prescribing for clients with mental and behavioral health diagnosis
Minimum Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current CT Physicians License
- Current CSP
- Current DEA
Minimum Skills and Abilities
- Ability to continuously access an internet connection with 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speeds
- Ability to possess a growth mindset with solid future career goals
- Fluency in Spanish as well as English is highly preferred
- Comfortability working with a majority client pool of children
- Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of Autism
- Ability to effectively use MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, Teams,
- Proficiency in EHR – EPIC preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Robust interpersonal expertise
