Senior Tax Operations Manager
Description

Compensation

$140,000 – $160,000 base salary, plus a 10% annual performance bonus.

About the Role

PRIME's Tax Division helps business owners and high earners keep more of what they make through proactive, multi-year tax strategy. The Senior Tax Operations Manager is the right hand to the VP of Tax and owns how the division runs day to day. You'll make sure every client engagement moves on time, every strategy meets our quality standard before it's delivered, and every client concern gets a fast, thoughtful response. This role is operations-first, backed by strong tax knowledge.

What You'll Do

  • Quality control: Own the review process for client tax plans, from EA and professional review through client review and delivery. Build QC checklists and standards so every strategy is accurate, complete, and considers long-term implications, not just year one savings.
  • Operations and workflow: Manage the engagement pipeline from purchase to discovery call to plan delivery. Monitor turnaround times, balance workloads, and reassign clients across strategists as capacity changes.
  • Client response: Serve as the escalation point for client questions, concerns, and complaints. Respond quickly, find root causes, and coordinate resolutions with strategists, client success, and billing.
  • Team support: Keep the CPA tax strategist team organized and accountable. Run the weekly team meeting, track open items, and support onboarding for new hires.
  • Reporting: Track and report on key metrics, including turnaround times, review completion, client satisfaction, and refunds, and turn findings into process improvements.
  • Process and systems: Document and improve workflows, templates, and handoffs between sales, strategy, and execution. Keep CRM records (Salesforce) accurate and useful.
  • Leadership partner: Work with the VP of Tax on priorities, capacity planning, hiring, and cross-department coordination, and step in on the VP's behalf when needed.
