The Apprentice- Painter is responsible for assisting team members in the stain line with various projects, This position assures that items are properly set up to be painted or packaged to move to another facility. Attention to detail and good communication skills are a must.

• Assist in handling of product moving in and out of shop
• Learns and becomes proficient at spackling and finish sanding of various products
• Assists and learns to stain/prepare all products to hang
• Does not go beyond their scope of orientation without guidance
• Responsible for cleaning stain room and keeping it neat and organized
• Hanging and prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and caulking
• Mix, match, and prepare paints, stains, and coatings
• Assist with brush, roller, and spray applications
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Load and unload materials and supplies – stackdown
• Learn proper painting techniques and trade practices from senior painters

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to work with a team and be adaptable to a changing environment
• No tools required
• 0-3 years experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for 10-11 hours per day
• Frequent bending, twisting

Physical & Work Environment

• Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
• Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a moderate noise level

Safety Compliance

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries on the job site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and materials
