Description
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
- 10+ years of demonstrated network engineering and architecture experience designing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex enterprise networks.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco routing, switching, and firewall platforms (e.g., ISR, ASR, CSR, ASA, Nexus, TACACS/ISE).
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, GRE, IPsec, VRF).
- Solid understanding of MPLS, DMVPN, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Proficiency with routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers, and proxy servers.
- High-level architectural and operational experience supporting complex networks.
- Experience facilitating network requirements sessions.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Ability to create and update network diagrams (Visio).
- Previous experience supporting federal networks is a plus.
- Experience producing design documentation, diagrams, and engineering artifacts.
- Must be resourceful and able to learn a large, complex and evolving network.
Education
BA / BS (relevant field); relevant IT experience may be a substitute for education.
