JOB SUMMARY

THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DISTRIBUTED COMMON GROUND SYSTEM (DCGS) PROGRAM AT ROBINS AFB, GA. WORKLOAD ASSOCIATED WITH THIS POSITION REQUIRES TS/SCI CLEARANCE. 

THE TECHNICAL DATA MANAGER SHALL PERFORM THE FUNCTION OF THE TECHNICAL OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY (TOMA). THE TECHNICAL DATA MANAGER SHALL PROVIDE MANAGEMENT GUIDANCE, DIRECTION AND CONTROL OF ASSIGNED SYSTEMS, PROGRAMS, AND PROJECTS TO ASSURE ADEQUATE AND TIMELY TECHNICAL ORDER (TO) MANAGEMENT. 

THE TECHNICAL DATA MANAGER SHALL HAVE A THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF AND EXPERIENCE WITH TO MANAGEMENT TO INTERPRET BROAD PROGRAM CONCEPTS AND APPLY THEM TO ASSIGNED TO PROGRAMS. TO PERFORM THIS WORK, THE TECHNICAL DATA MANAGER SHALL BE PROFICIENT IN USING THE AF TO SYSTEM, AND SHALL BE SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE STANDARDS, SPECIFICATIONS, PRECEDENTS, METHODS, AND TECHNIQUES USED IN THE TO DATA MANAGEMENT FIELD, AFMCI 21-301, AIR FORCE MATERIEL COMMAND TECHNICAL ORDER SYSTEM IMPLEMENTING POLICIES, AND OTHER APPLICABLE AF AND DOD INSTRUCTIONS, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with preparation of TCTOs to support configuration changes and inspections for Government Equipment Specialist approval.
  • Assist in the completion of supporting documents to include Form 873, TCTO Requirement; Form 874, TCTO Supply Data Requirements; and Form 875, TCTO Programming Document; and coordination sheet.
  • Support execution of CCB directives by partnering with the Technical Content Managers to manage the publication and distribution of technical order changes. 
  • Assist the program offices in planning and executing transition to a digital TO system Support establishment, coordination, documentation, and justification of TO data requirements 
  • Develop methods, plans, feedback (control) requirements, etc. to meet objectives for TO management. 
  • Review recommend changes to specifications and regulations, draft new specifications and regulations, and support accomplishment of assigned projects and other such technical order related assignments.
  • Review, daily, a variety of TO database products and correct data as necessary. 
  • Track TO system for program change requests; advise Government if further action is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master of Science or Master of Arts Degree, 12 years of experience, and 5 years of Department of Defense (DoD) experience; OR 
  • Bachelor’s degree, 15 years of experience and 5 years of DoD experience; OR 
  • Certifications, 20 years of experience, 8 years of DoD experience

SECURITY CLEARANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a minimum of an active TS/SCI clearance and be subject to a government security investigation. 
  • Must have the recognized Acquisition Qualification:
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) credential program, CACQ 010 Foundational Acquisition Intelligence Credential
  • Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Do you have the ability to pass a background check to be granted access to the specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE? 
  • Must be a US Citizen.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 

TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • Position will travel up to 25% of the time out of state and overnight to fulfill contract requirements.
