The Apprentice- Carpenter/Builder   

is responsible for assisting with various constructions jobs and repairs. This position ensures all products meet company standards while complying with company policies and safety standards. Experience in carpentry, as well as a strong focus on detail and quality, is required. 

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and power tools safely and efficiently 
• Use measuring equipment
• Stack, stage, and label all products properly and expedites to next step in processing
• Responsible for checking accuracy of own work and filling out paperwork properly

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to properly use measuring equipment such as tape measure, square, and read drawings
• Must be familiar with most machinery and power tools in shop
• Must be capable to use tools to properly fabricate/assemble products
• Takes initiative, is self-sufficient and sets a good example for other team members
• Is increasingly able to work from specification books and shop drawings, asks supervisor for clarification when appropriate
• 1-3 years of Carpentry experience or a trade school certificate

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and stand for 8-10 hours per day
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas
• Must be able to work in various conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat and cold
• Ability to lift 30-50 pounds. 

Safety Compliance 

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries on the job site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and materials
