Special Assistant to the CEO

Pay: $70,000 – $80,000 per year 

Location: Fully Remote

We are seeking a mission-driven, agile, and highly organized Special Assistant to the CEO to protect executive focus, maintain high-velocity communications, track company-wide initiatives, and streamline daily operational workflows. 


What You’ll Own


Inbox Triage & Daily Briefings:      

Monitor, prioritize, draft, organize, and filter daily incoming executive communications to protect CEO focus. Surface urgent matters immediately, contextualize routine updates into streamlined daily briefings, and manage information backlogs. 


Written Communication:

You possess exceptional academic- or journalistic-level writing, synthesis, and proofreading skills. 


Strategic Calendar Management: 

Proactively align the CEO’s daily schedule, workflow, high-priority meetings, and long-term milestones with core enterprise goals. 


Briefing Packets & Context Prep: 

Prepare detailed briefing materials, agenda packets, stakeholder bios, and background context prior to high-stakes meetings. 


Presentation & Document Development: 

Convert complex ideas, raw strategy documents, meeting notes, and analytical insights into high-impact Microsoft PowerPoint decks, structured Word reports, and executive documents. 


Targeted Research & Analysis: 

Conduct ad-hoc research on industry trends, regulatory updates, competitor landscapes, and potential targets, including downloading and organizing data.

Requirements

You’ll Thrive Here If

You have 5 to 7 years of experience as a Special Assistant or Executive Assistant to a CEO, OR 5 to 7 years of experience in political staff work (such as constituent services, legislative affairs, or public affairs) or journalism/press reporting. 

You possess advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Office.

You are hyper-aware of your environment, exceptionally organized, and thrive in a fast-paced setting while fielding and resolving a high volume of incoming requests. 

You are deeply motivated by meaningful work and care about transparency, public accountability, and ensuring public programs operate with high integrity. 

You possess proven analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data into clear executive summaries. 

You demonstrate a growth mindset, handle constructive feedback with composure, maintain strict confidentiality, and collaborate effectively under firm deadlines in a fully remote setting.
