What You'll Do
- A Commercial HVAC Technician diagnose commercial systems, leads complex diagnostics, installations, and repairs of commercial HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, VAV Rooftop Units, and restaurant refrigeration equipment
- Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Handle air-cooled chillers, heavy-duty heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Overseeing junior technicians, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring workplace safety standards are met.
- Client Communication: Interacting directly with facility managers to explain repairs, provide quotes, complete invoices and recommend system upgrades
- Represent Bates with professionalism and urgency on every job
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of hands-on commercial and/or industrial HVAC/refrigeration/chiller experience
- Advanced commercial troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across commercial chiller systems
- Previous VAV rooftop unit experience is required
- Current EPA Type II Certification & TDLR required, NATE & factory training on major equipment brands are highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of electrical schematics, refrigerant handling, brazing/welding, and computerized chiller/HVAC software/controls.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
