The Position:

NLign Analytics is looking for a quality assurance engineer with previous experience testing a Windows software product and web application. The ideal candidate is passionate about software quality, has experience with both manual and automated testing, and enjoys collaborating with developers throughout the software development lifecycle. The candidate must also demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills as interaction with management and the development team will be constant.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Conduct quality assurance for all new software development, impacted functionality, and existing functionality.
• Fulfill NLign product quality by tracking defects reported by internal users and customers
• Performing various types of testing, including regression/integration, automation, stress, and performance testing.
• Maintain familiarity with all existing and new features of the NLign product suite.
• Produce and Maintain testing documentation.
• Verify implemented features adhere to requirements specifications.
• Execute Release Test Plan during software releases and end of sprint cycles.
• Create and maintain comprehensive automation tests for both desktop and web applications
• Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, test coverage, and automation.
• Maintain and improve automated test suites throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a software quality engineer utilizing both manual and automated testing practices
• Experience testing Windows desktop applications and browser-based web applications
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, performance, and backward compatibility testing
• Experience using AI to supplement software product testing.

Programming & Automation

• Professional experience with Python
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test suites
• Experience with Playwright Automation
• Understanding of automation frameworks
• Experience using the Page Object Model (POM) or similar design patterns

Testing & Validation

• Experience designing, documenting, and executing test plans and test cases
• Strong experience managing regression test execution
• Experience performing exploratory testing
• Experience validating end-to-end customer workflows
• Experience validating API responses, authentication, and error handling
• Experience verifying application data stored in relational databases

Software Development Process

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
• Experience collaborating with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders
• Experience using Git, including pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies, and merge conflict resolution
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects and fixes
• Promote quality best practices and continuous improvement across QA processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience writing SQL queries for test validation
• Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Bruno, Postman, or similar
• Experience with Squish for Qt automation
• Experience testing Qt desktop applications
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Testiny, or similar development and test management tools
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants
