Lenze Americas is hiring an experienced Logistics Manager.


Position Title: Logistics Manager

Position Location: Uxbridge, MA

Position Type: Onsite, Monday - Friday 

Compensation: $95,000-$120,000 (Compensation is an estimate and depends on skills, knowledge, education, and experience) 


Position Snapshot: The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and executing Lenze Americas’ logistics operations including receiving, warehousing, internal material flow, and shipping. This key leadership role blends hands-on execution with strategic process ownership to build and scale a high-performing logistics function that supports manufacturing excellence and future growth. The Logistics Manager serves as the SAP process owner, champion of Lean initiatives, and drives continuous, data-driven improvements to enhance efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service levels.

A day in the life:

   

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics personnel to build a high-performing and engaged workforce.
  • Drive accountability through clear performance expectations, key performance indicators (KPIs), and daily management practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.

Logistics Operations & Material Flow

  • Oversee all logistics operations, including receiving, warehousing, inventory control, material handling, and domestic and international shipping.
  • Ensure efficient inbound material flow, including receipt, inspection, system transactions, storage, and replenishment activities.
  • Manage internal material movement and line-side delivery to support uninterrupted production operations.
  • Lead outbound shipping activities, ensuring accurate and on-time delivery to customers across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and other global markets.
  • Optimize end-to-end material flow from supplier receipt through production consumption and customer shipment.
  • Balance service, cost, inventory, and labor utilization to meet operational and financial objectives.

Continuous Improvement & Performance Management

  • Establish, monitor, and report key performance metrics, including inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, throughput, productivity, and transportation performance.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to eliminate recurring operational issues.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, standard work, visual management, waste reduction, and process flow improvements.
  • Drive measurable improvements in productivity, inventory accuracy, service levels, and operational efficiency.

Systems & Process Ownership

  • Serve as the SAP process owner for logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring data integrity and transactional accuracy.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standardized operating procedures, work instructions, and training programs.
  • Partner with IT and global process owners to improve system functionality, reporting capabilities, and operational effectiveness.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies, environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, equipment reliability, and audit readiness through disciplined operational controls.
  • Partner with Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to resolve process, material, and customer-related issues.
  • Maintain compliance with transportation, customs, trade, and regulatory requirements related to domestic and international shipments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the primary logistics liaison between Operations, Production Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Align logistics execution with production schedules, inventory strategies, and customer demand requirements.
  • Drive cross-functional problem-solving efforts to remove constraints impacting material availability, production flow, and customer delivery performance.
  • Support business growth initiatives through scalable logistics processes and continuous operational improvements.
Requirements

 What you need:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations (manufacturing environment strongly preferred)
  • 4+ years’ experience in supervising & leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field highly preferred 
  • Proven success implementing Lean logistics systems (Kanban, pull systems, line-side delivery, supermarkets)
  • Demonstrated systems thinking and process design capability 
  • Strong ERP experience required; SAP ownership experience highly preferred
  • Experience optimizing material flow, layouts, and warehouse processes
  • Track record of driving KPI improvements using data and structured problem solving
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping processes (Canada/Mexico preferred)
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to drive accountability and change
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive performance improvements 
  • Proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and present effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with a strong interest in leveraging AI and digital tools to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Solid understanding of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements within logistics and warehouse operations
