SCU Credit Union is looking for a Digital Marketing Automation Analyst to join our Marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven, curious, and detail-oriented marketer who understands that effective digital marketing is about more than sending communications—it’s about delivering the right message, to the right member, at the right time.
In this role, you will bring together marketing technology, member data, automation, digital communications, and analytics to create personalized experiences that strengthen member engagement and support growth. You’ll help SCU better understand our members, identify opportunities to connect with them, and build automated journeys that make those connections more relevant and effective.
You’ll be an important partner across Marketing, IT, Business Applications, Retail, Lending, Compliance, and agency partners—helping turn data and insights into smarter marketing strategies and measurable results.
What You’ll Do
Build & Optimize Digital Marketing Journeys
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated marketing campaigns and member lifecycle journeys across email, online banking, mobile banking, websites, social media, and other digital channels.
- Create campaigns that support account acquisition, product adoption, cross-selling, retention, member education, and overall engagement.
- Build targeted member segments using demographic, behavioral, product, transaction, and engagement data.
- Develop personalized and triggered communications that deliver relevant messages based on member needs, behaviors, and interactions.
- Ensure automated communications are accurate, timely, accessible, engaging, and consistent with SCU’s brand and communication standards.
- Apply A/B and multivariate testing across audiences, channels, creative, messaging, offers, timing, and segmentation to continuously improve campaign performance.
Own Member Data & Marketing Automation
- Serve as the primary owner of the MCIF database, including running queries, generating mailing lists, and completing monthly maintenance, updates, balancing, validation, and third-party data extracts.
- Maintain accurate membership, product, and profitability data to support effective marketing and business decisions.
- Own the credit union’s marketing automation platform and workflows, including platform configuration standards, campaign frameworks, templates, communication rules, and documentation.
- Maintain data quality, governance, and compliance across MCIF and marketing automation platforms.
- Monitor automated campaigns and resolve data, workflow, delivery, integration, and other issues.
- Maintain accurate campaign documentation, workflows, data definitions, and process documentation.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes through automation and improve the efficiency and consistency of marketing operations.
Analyze Data & Turn Insights Into Action
- Track, measure, and report on digital marketing and lifecycle performance using dashboards, automated reports, and data analytics tools.
- Analyze engagement, conversion, product adoption, and ROI to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze member transaction data, surveys, demographics, and engagement trends to identify product needs and opportunities.
- Apply predictive, demographic, and propensity modeling to support targeting and marketing recommendations.
- Develop actionable insights that help Marketing and business partners better understand member behavior and make informed decisions.
Research & Identify Growth Opportunities
- Lead market research and competitive intelligence initiatives, including member surveys, peer benchmarking, and industry trend monitoring.
- Identify emerging digital marketing trends, member needs, and opportunities for growth.
- Maintain current knowledge of marketing automation, digital engagement, analytics, personalization, and financial services marketing best practices.
- Translate research and industry insights into recommendations that improve member engagement and marketing effectiveness.
Partner Across the Organization
- Work closely with IT, Business Applications, Retail, Lending, Compliance, and agency partners to integrate and validate data across systems.
- Partner with Compliance to ensure marketing campaigns and automated communications adhere to applicable regulatory and advertising requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure reporting is accurate, data is reliable, and marketing initiatives are aligned with organizational goals.
- Assist with special projects and other initiatives within the Marketing team.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines strong marketing and analytical skills with curiosity, creativity, and a passion for using technology to create better member experiences.
Qualifications
- At least 4–5 years of marketing experience, preferably within financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Experience owning or administering MCIF software; Fusion Analytics experience preferred.
- Experience building and managing marketing automation workflows and multi-step, triggered customer journeys using platforms such as Digital Onboarding, HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of audience segmentation, suppression logic, email deliverability, and marketing compliance requirements, including CAN-SPAM, opt-in/opt-out, and data privacy.
- Experience building dashboards, automated reports, and creating and interpreting MCIF and related reports.
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently while balancing changing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
- Reliable, flexible, collaborative, and adaptable in a changing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Analytics applications.
- Familiarity with member data platforms/CDPs.
- Experience with digital personalization tools.
- Experience with predictive or propensity modeling preferred but not required.

As a member of SCU’s Marketing team, you will maintain current knowledge of digital marketing practices, marketing technology, member engagement strategies, data privacy requirements, and applicable financial services regulations.

The pay range for this position is $34.50 to $41.00 per hour and is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
