Position Overview

Quality Enclosures is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Backup Delivery Driver / Manufacturing Technician to join our Port Orange team.

This is a dual-role position designed for someone who has professional commercial driving experience and is also comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Much of this position (80 – 90%) will be spent working in production, fabricating components used in glass shower enclosures. 

Backup driving responsibilities (10 - 20%) will be assigned as business needs require, and will vary from week to week.

Candidates with professional experience operating 26' box trucks, straight trucks, commercial delivery vehicles, or similar large vehicles are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates who do not meet the backup-driver qualifications may still be considered for a Manufacturing Technician position.

What You'll Do

Manufacturing (Primary Responsibility 80–90%)

• Cut, fabricate, and assemble aluminum shower-enclosure components according to specifications.
• Operate production equipment, including saws and drill presses.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Package, label, and prepare completed orders for shipment.
• Assist with inventory, warehouse operations, and general production needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Backup Delivery Driving (Secondary Responsibility 10–20%)

• Safely operate company vehicles, including 26' box trucks, when delivery coverage is needed.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload glass products and related materials.
• Complete customer deliveries and inter-facility transfers.
• Perform required vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Provide professional customer service while following company safety and driving procedures.

 Manufacturing Qualifications

• Experience using fabrication tools or a willingness to learn.
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to follow instructions, manage changing priorities, and work effectively as part of a team.

Driver Qualifications

• Previous professional commercial driving experience operating box trucks, straight trucks, or similar large delivery vehicles.
• Experience operating a 26' box truck or comparable vehicle strongly preferred.
• Three years of professional commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required DOT medical certification.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is a physically active position that includes both manufacturing and commercial driving responsibilities.

Candidates must be able to:

• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely.
• Stand and perform physically active production work for extended periods.
• Bend, kneel, reach, climb, push, pull, and move materials as required.
• Enter and exit a large box truck safely and repeatedly when assigned to deliveries.
• Remain seated and alert for extended periods while driving.
• Work around manufacturing equipment, moving parts, and sharp materials.
• Work in indoor manufacturing environments as well as varying outdoor temperatures and weather conditions during deliveries.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment in designated areas.
