As we open our new Texas plant, we are seeking an Engineering Administrative Assistant to support our Engineering team and help establish the systems, processes, and documentation that drive operational success.


This is a unique opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working across multiple departments, coordinating projects, managing technical documentation, and supporting both internal teams and external customers. As one of the early members of our Texas operation, this role will help build the administrative foundation that supports Engineering, Production, Sales, and Operations.

We design and build backup power packages, including tanks and enclosures, for healthcare, industrial, and technology-driven customers that require uninterrupted power at all times. Job Summary

  

The Engineering Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Engineering department and serves as a liaison between Engineering, Production, Sales, suppliers, and customers. This position supports engineering operations by maintaining records, coordinating project information, updating schedules, entering Bills of Material into company systems, and assisting with documentation and communication across departments.


As the Texas facility continues to expand, this position will play a critical role in supporting process development, documentation consistency, project coordination, and operational efficiency across the organization.


Essential Job Functions

  

Serve as a liaison with drafters and engineers to gather product information, requirements, and design specifications.

Update files and maintain consistency with engineering records and part drawings.

Create and maintain engineering procedures, manuals, and documentation.

Enter Bills of Material into company MRP software systems.

Maintain organized engineering records and project documentation.

Communicate with customers to obtain project information and provide drawing completion timelines.

Update and share engineering schedules with customers and team members.

Work with customers, engineers, suppliers, and other departments to support projects and processes.

Coordinate project information between Engineering and other departments.

Identify potential operational issues and opportunities to improve efficiency.

Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes and process orders.

Assist with projects and departmental initiatives as needed.

Interact with team members and other departments in a professional manner.

Support engineering, production, and sales activities through effective communication and organization.

Meet established goals and objectives in a timely manner. 


Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of administrative support experience.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment or similar industry.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Knowledge of standard office equipment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Good mathematical skills. 


Highly Preferred


Experience supporting Engineering or technical teams.

Experience with ERP or MRP systems.

Experience maintaining engineering documentation and records.

Hands-on experience with CAD software.

Familiarity with 3D modeling software.


Preferred


Associate Degree in Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Experience supporting startup operations, facility expansions, or new facility launches.


Working Conditions


This position operates primarily in a professional office environment. Periodic presence in manufacturing, warehouse, and production areas may be required to support engineering projects, distribute documentation, verify information, and coordinate activities with operational teams.


Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, moving equipment, and active manufacturing operations when entering production areas. Required PPE must be worn in designated work areas, and all safety procedures must be followed.


Physical Requirements


Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods throughout the workday

Ability to walk and work on concrete, wood, metal, and other industrial surfaces, including ramps (to include metal or fiberglass ramps placed on 30-degree angles) and elevated walking areas.

Ability to climb stairs, maintain balance, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl as required.

Ability to walk and work on uneven ground and varying surfaces both indoors and outdoors.

Ability to use hands for handling and feeling materials, tools, equipment, and documentation.

Ability to reach, lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing more than 20 pounds without mechanical assistance.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, suppliers, and other departments.

Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, temperature fluctuations, and occasional outdoor conditions.

Wear appropriate PPE for the area in.
