FIDELITY MANUFACTURING is part of the Backup Power Generation industry. We design and build backup power packages, including tanks and enclosures, for healthcare, industrial, and technology-driven customers that require uninterrupted power at all times. Job Summary
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of raw materials, work-in-progress inventory, and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production environments. This position supports inventory accuracy, material availability, and operational efficiency through inventory transactions, cycle counts, material verification, and coordination with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and Quality teams.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring inventory integrity and supporting uninterrupted production operations.
Essential Job Functions
Inventory Control & Accuracy
Update and maintain inventory records within inventory management systems.
Perform inventory transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, overages, and potential issues.
Assist with inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and adjustments.
Support inventory accuracy initiatives and process improvements.
Materials & Warehouse Support
Verify quantities and condition of incoming materials and inventory items.
Assist with proper identification, labeling, and storage of inventory.
Coordinate with production, purchasing, and shipping teams to support material flow.
Ensure materials are properly staged and available to support production schedules.
Monitor material movement throughout warehouse and production areas.
Support organization and housekeeping of inventory storage locations.
Assist with material transfers and inventory-related transactions as required.
Documentation & Administrative Support
Maintain inventory documentation and supporting records.
Perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
Generate reports related to inventory counts, discrepancies, and material movements.
Communicate inventory status and issues to appropriate departments.
Support inventory-related reporting and recordkeeping activities.
Maintain organized inventory files and documentation.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, and Quality teams.
Assist with process improvement initiatives related to inventory control and warehouse operations.
Support department goals related to inventory accuracy and operational performance.
Maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization.
Adapt to changing priorities and operational requirements.
Support additional inventory and materials-related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of inventory, warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or supply chain experience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and inventory calculations.
Proficiency with computers and data entry.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
Highly Preferred
Experience with inventory management systems, ERP systems, or warehouse software.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience performing cycle counts and inventory audits.
Forklift operating experience.
Experience supporting material flow and inventory control processes.
Experience supporting startup operations, plant expansions, or new facility launches.
Preferred
Associate degree or coursework related to Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or Operations.
Knowledge of inventory control best practices.
Experience with barcode systems and inventory tracking technology.
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Working Conditions
This position operates primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. Employees may be exposed to elevated noise levels, dust, fumes, airborne particles, moving machinery, material-handling equipment, and varying temperatures, all within OSHA-permissible exposure limits.
The role requires regular interaction with production teams, warehouse personnel, inventory systems, and material-handling equipment. OSHA-compliant safety training, required PPE, and company safety procedures are provided and must be followed at all times.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as required.
Ability to handle inventory, materials, labels, and documentation safely and accurately.
Ability to perform repetitive motions and maintain manual dexterity.
Ability to read labels, measurements, inventory reports, and computer screens.
Ability to work safely around warehouse equipment, forklifts, and production machinery.
Ability to safely navigate warehouse and manufacturing environments.
