PURPOSE
To provide exemplary leadership and supervision, ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence and guest service. This role sets the tone for communication and collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house staff, delivering exceptional food quality in a timely manner. Works alongside the Pastry Chef and Executive Chef to uphold superior food quality and kitchen sanitation practices while fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Food Quality & Production: Oversee the quality, quantity, and timeliness of all food production to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Team Development & Performance: Train, coach, and evaluate the performance of Bakers, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Presentation & Standards: Ensure consistent adherence to presentation, portioning, garnishing, and substitution standards for all menu items.
- Menu Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu items and operational standards, memorizing all key ingredients and preparation methods.
- Food Safety & Sanitation: Implement food storage, rotation, spoilage control, and sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety.
- Recipe Adherence: Follow prescribed recipes, time, and temperature protocols to produce consistently high-quality dishes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Health Services standards for food safety and cleanliness.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, supporting the overall success of the kitchen and service operations.
Education and Experience:
- Three (3) years baking experience in a high-volume production.
- Professional knowledge of baking ingredients and procedures.
- Knowledge of commercial baking equipment to include ovens, sheeters, mixers, etc.
Skills and Abilities:
- Culinary Expertise & Quality Control: Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and maintaining consistency in food quality, presentation, and portioning.

- Food Safety & Sanitation: Expertise in food safety practices, including storage, spoilage control, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
