Description
- Provide repair of Ambrell equipment both in-house and at customer sites for current product lines and legacy equipment
- Provide technical systems and applications training to customers both in-house and at customer sites, including classroom and hands on training.
- Start-up assistance of Ambrell equipment in the field including applications setup and testing
- Supports repair of customer equipment in house when not traveling.
- Customer interaction and remote triage, troubleshooting and diagnostics daily.
Requirements
- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and familiarity with troubleshooting equipment is necessary.
- Must be able to read and understand schematic wiring diagrams, test procedures, water flow diagrams and-lay out drawings, and be able to check mechanical work to blueprint (CAD drawings).
- Ability to troubleshoot to the component level.
- Good organizational skills required. Paperwork must be complete, prompt, and accurate.
- Direct customer contact is a primary responsibility of this position.
- Applicant must be willing to travel up to as much as 50%, including domestic and international.
- Previous experience in induction heating desirable but not required.
- Must be physically capable of strenuous work and working in extreme conditions.
- Good written and verbal communications skills required.
Electronic background experience in:
- Proficient use of DMM, oscilloscope, power logger, hi-pot tester
- Temperature monitoring equipment including temperature controllers and pyrometers desirable
- Analog, digital and microprocessor circuits
- Power devices and related circuits
- Motors and general AC wiring
- PLC operation (desirable, not required)
- PCB Soldering to IPC-610 (desirable, not required)
Mechanical background experience in:
- Mechanical fixturing
- Temperature, pressure, and water flow circuits and monitoring equipment
