Job purpose:
Warehouse Associates/Delivery Drivers are responsible for coordinating and participating in the receipt, storage, loading, unloading, and inventory of our HVAC/R products and equipment. This position also ensure proper orders and transport items are safely delivered to our customers.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Attendance and able to work all scheduled shifts with occasional unplanned absences only
- Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and adheres to quality guidelines
- Complete mandatory in service and online training in our Learning Management System
- Enhance the Meier Supply work environment and culture with strict adherence to modeling our core values
- Other duties may be assigned depending on business needs at the Distribution Center
- WAREHOUSE SPECIFIC:
- Maintains and cleans warehouse facility to ensure it is orderly, clean, and safe condition.
- Prepares orders by pulling from stock to meet delivery requirements.
- Receives stock and non-stock items taking care to ensure specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct while inspecting items for damage.
- Participates in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
- Loads delivery vehicles ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
- Unloads items for the purpose of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and/or individuals.
- DRIVER SPECIFIC:
- Drives box trucks and cargo vans for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites.
- Loads delivery vehicles for the purpose of ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
- Maintains vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.

Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license with clear DMV record
- Ability to obtain DOT medical card within 90 days of employment
- 1 or more years of previous delivery driving or warehouse experience
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
- Attendance record must be exemplary in prior positions

Working conditions:
Warehouses can be noisy and may be exposed to varying temperatures, depending on the climate and the nature of the goods stored.
Physical requirements:
This is a physically demanding job. Warehouse and driving work involves lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects, as well as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods on a daily basis. Must be able to work on your feet for the duration of the day and lift, pull, push and carry at least 50lbs.
